REUNION ANNOUNCEMENT #5:
mailed to all family members for whom we have e-mail addresses
April 11, 2002 Greetings Family: THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT REUNION ANNOUNCEMENT AND WE HOPE THAT EVERY FAMILY MEMBER WILL READ IT VERY CAREFULLY. By now, most of you have seen the Robertson Family Web page and we're delighted by the positive and encouraging comments regarding our efforts with this reunion. By the way, we plan to update it weekly, so please continue to visit the site! We'd also like to thank every family member who sent pictures for the on-line family photo album and calendar, especially LORETTA, LINDA, TONYA, AND KIMBERLY, who submitted very important photos we might not have otherwise received. By the way, if anyone has nice pictures of Aunt Elaine, please forward them to reunion2002@att.net as soon as possible. We are finalizing our plans and will be modifying the itinerary over the next few weeks. On another note, because it was and continues to be our desire to include as many "known" family members as possible, we've extended the payment and registration deadline twice. At this point, however, we have made a concrete decision on a final cut off, which is May 15, 2002. Here's a brief explanation why*. On October 1, 2001, the first installation payment deadline, there were only four families registered. At that point, we considered canceling the reunion. It was not until January 1 2002, that we had 17 people registered, and at that time, because we needed 50 people, we had to cancel Damon's Ó, who was to cater the all-you-can-eat rib and chicken picnic (as well as supply all utensils and all clean up). Now the reunion is less than three months and we only have 22 paid participants, but we're still moving forward. So if you have not paid in full by May 15, 2002 (as stated in previous correspondence, which can be viewed on the web site), we will not be looking for you to attend. It simply would not be fair to those who made the financial commitment. Listed below are the names of those who have registered AND PAID IN FULL. If you have only expressed interest in attending, but have not mailed your fee, your name may not be listed. NOTE: EVEN IF YOU DO NOT PLAN TO STAY FOR THE ENTIRE REUNION, THE FULL REUNION FEE ($75 per adult over the age of 13) IS STILL DUE (which will go toward all operating costs of the reunion (food, drinks, ingredients, utensils, supplies, recreational equipment, decorations, the picnic facility, the boat ride, the calendar, the directory, and the karaoke machine).
