REUNION ANNOUNCEMENT #1: mailed to family members It is with great ;pleasure that I announce and cordially invite you to attend the Robertson Family Reunion of 2002. To be held in Lansing, Michigan from July 3rd through July 6th, it will feature the descendents of Johnson Robertson and Loucrecia Chew. Tina (Wallace) Robinson and I will be Co-direction the reunion and we have chosen the theme, Celebrating and Continuing the Legacy. Listed below are some of the activities we have planned. Next year's reunion fee has been set at $75.00 for ages 13 and over, and will be waived for those who are age 12 and under (please not that the hotel room rate is $79.00 per night and is separate from the reunion fee.) Installment payments, for each attendee, age 13 and over, can be made by the following dates: Deposit #1 $25 due Oct. 1, 2001 Deposit #2 $25 due Feb 1, 2002 Deposit #3 $25 due May 1, 2002 Checks or money orders should be made payment to The Robertson Reunion and mailed to : Tina Robinson As opposed to selling souvenir R-shirts, we have decided to sell something we believe will be more meaningful and useful...a Pictorial Calendar. The calendar will display priceless family photographs and recipes, list birthdays, and as an added bonus, it will also include the Robertson Family Directory. In addition, we are also developing a Robertson Family web site, which will outline details about the upcoming reunion, provide a message board for special announcement and photographs, and create a secured link to the Robertson Directory and Family Tree. Please take a few moments and review the enclosed Family Directory Form, which contains the most current information I have for your immediate family. If anything needs to be modified, please draw a line through that item and bring the correction below the corresponding field. Once you have completed the form, please return it, in the enclosed, postage paid envelope, along with recipes and family photos (preferably group shots) by September 1, 2001 to: DeLea Kearse OR email this information to Please be aware that there is limited space in the calendar, so we will have to be selective with the photos. If you are sending multiple and/or original photos, and would like them back, please list your full name on the back and we will return them at the reunion. In closing, I must say that we are thrilled with the outpouring of support and enthusiasm from so many family members. Our hope is that while we're together, we'll focus on remembering, reconnecting, and relationship building, and leave with a desire to continue this very important tradition. Hope to see you there!
